Priya Marathe Passes Away: A Wave of Grief in the Entertainment Industry, Renowned Actress Priya Marathe Dies of Cancer

Mumbai: Famous Marathi and Hindi television actress Priya Marathe's battle with cancer has finally ended. Priya Marathe took the last rites at her home at the age of just 38 and her demise has sent a wave of grief through the Marathi entertainment industry.

For a few days Priya Marathe was undergoing treatment for cancer at a private hospital in Mumbai. But after succumbing to the illness, she passed away on 31 August, Sunday at 4 am at her home in Mira Road. Her last rites will be performed at 4 pm in the evening.

Important roles in various serials

Actress Priya Marathe has played important roles in many hit Marathi serials like “Ya Sukhanno Ya”, “Char Divas Saasuche”, “Tu Tith Me”, “Almost Sufal Sampoorna”, and “Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla”. Her last work in Marathi entertainment world was “Tujhech Me Geet Gaat Aahe” serial.

Along with this, she also played a special role in Hindi serials “Pavitra Rishta”, “Uttaran”, “Kasam Se”, and “Bade Acche Lagte Hai”.
